Chris and Cliff’s Michigan Farmhouse Wedding

Chris and Cliff’s Michigan Farmhouse Wedding

by shantelle, February 22, 2020

When Chris and Cliff contacted me to shoot their classic farmhouse wedding, I knew I was in for a treat. Chris and Cliff live on a lovely farm in Brighton, Michigan. Their historical home was built in 1855 and served as the perfect location for their ceremony and wedding vows.  Chris and Cliff both enjoy the farming lifestyle.  Chris raises chickens on their farm and Cliff is very proud of his extensive corn crop. In fact, Cliff’s corn field served as a gorgeous backdrop for their romantic wedding portraits.

The couple’s wedding reception was held at the local Brighton Equestrian Center, in its colonial-style clubhouse, set on 90 acres of lush landscape. The clubhouse reflects the grandeur of equestrian life with a hint of southern charm, making it their dream wedding venue.  I loved capturing all the details of their wedding day, from romantic moments near the barn and in the couple’s corn field, to the special cigar and bourbon table and their 3-tiered, cider-mill donut cake!
