David Taylor is a Michigan native and entrepreneur with a passion and aptitude for the arts.  Even before he launched Stop and Stare Photography, he owned several successful businesses and has been recognized as a Premier Porcelain Ceramist, Martial Artist, Wine Enthusiast and World Traveler. That said, within the past 10 years, his career as a Porcelain Ceramist led him to take a deeper interest in the art of photography.  David spent much of his career studying the human form, especially faces and smiles. It was through photography of teeth and smiles that he discovered his fascination and love of the art form!

In past 10 years, David embraced photography whole-heartedly, spending endless hours behind the lens of his camera.  He enjoys the idea of capturing life’s genuinely beautiful moments and is especially drawn to the influence of lighting on a photo and how it can help tell a story or set a mood.  As a premier Metro Detroit Michigan photographer, David prides himself of having a keen attention to detail and will do anything to get the perfect shot in order to make his clients happy.  He loves a creative challenge through and through from scouting locations, selecting wardrobes and props to pursuing creative lighting techniques and posing.
